We've all seen the variety of fitness monitors for humans on the market today, and now FitBark is extending the monitoring to your dog.  This Kickstarter project has already met more than 200% of its funding goal, but you have until Aug 26, at 3:00pm EDT to pledge to be sure your dog is one of the first to receive a FitBark activity monitor.  The small, waterproof, bone-shaped monitor attaches to your dog's collar and sends information to a nearby smartphone about Fido's activity.  If he won't always be in close proximity to someone with a smartphone, you can add the base station so he can send you information while he's home alone.
