The Fall of Cybertron demo will feature two missions from the campaign, letting users play as Bumbleebee and Vortex.

Dual-core Samsung Odyssey and Marco with Windows Phone 8 coming later this year?

Samsung - which sold more than 50 million smartphones in the second quarter of the year - will be among the first manufacturers to launch Windows Phone 8 handsets. We've already heard about the SGH-i687, which is a WP8 device that's seemingly headed to AT&T. And now The Verge has details on two other upcoming WP8 handsets from Samsung. Codenamed Odyssey and Marco, both devices are powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processors, and have LTE and HSPA connectivity.

The One Laptop Per Child's project just got one step closer to updating its venerable XO portable through a newly-struck licensing deal with Neonode. The XO Touch 1.75, a slight rebranding of the as yet unreleased XO 1.75 we saw last year, will use Neonode's MultiSensing to give the laptop a multi-touch screen that's both very responsive and eco-friendly in the same breath. Even as it samples finger input at up to 1GHz, the new OLPC system's 300 DPI display will still use under 2W of power and remain viewable in bright sunlight - students can even wake up the new model with a gesture instead of using anything so crude as a power button.

The controversy surrounding Google's (GOOG) data collection practices took an unexpected turn Friday when the company admitted to British officials that it had neglected to delete thousands of emails and passwords that employees had collected from Wi-Fi hotspots while driving through various neighborhoods in Google Street View cars. As the Guardian notes, Google was ordered to delete all collected personal data back in December 2010 and failing to comply could allow the British Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) to fine the company as much as £500,000 (approximately $786,000).

After being unceremoniously stripped in a recent OTA update, Samsung has told TechRadar that the Galaxy S III's universal search function will return - at least in the UK. A spokesperson for Samsung said that the "inadvertent removal" will be remedied in the "correct software upgrade" over the next few days. It sends a mixed message on why the feature was removed in the first place - and makes us wonder whether the search box will ever return to the Sprint iteration any time soon. When Steven Chu, a Nobel Prize winning physicist, was named Secretary of the Department of Energy in the Obama Administration, he quickly redirected much of the Department's automotive research efforts into battery electric vehicles. So much so that proponents of hydrogen fuel cells complained loudly that the Secretary was starving their research efforts.

Somehow, it still fits up to four USB 2.0 ports, mini HDMI, VGA and as much as 64GB of storage. The board's real tricks are its dual integrated graphics processors: the VAB-800 can independently steer two displays, just in case your in-car infotainment system can't be contained by merely one screen.

A day after Ford issued a recall of 485,000 Escape crossovers from its 2001-2004 model years, Mazda has reportedly issued its own for the 215,000 examples of its Tribute, the Escape's mechanical twin. While it's the same engine configuration being recalled, the 3.0-liter V6 with cruise control, there is a difference in the recalls: Mazda is recalling 2002-2006 and 2008 model year Tributes, three more years of production than the Escape (the Tribute wasn't made in 2007).

Living in the woods of Southern Indiana, we see all sorts of wildlife on a regular basis. Deer, raccoons, coyotes and birds to name a few. Although I don't consider myself an actual bird watcher, I do have an above average knowledge about birds. Back when we were kids, my sister and I would bird watch from our bed room windows. We kept track of the birds we saw by writing down the date and time we saw them in spiral bound notebooks. We would be so excited when we saw a new bird for the first time. I can remember shrieking when we saw our first Pileated Woodpecker.
