Mazda2 successor to ride atop shortened CX-5 platform

Mazda, looking to make the most of its new, lightweight Skyactiv vehicle architecture, will allegedly use a version of the CX-5 crossover's platform to underpin its next-generation Mazda2 hatchback, according to a report from Just-Auto.com. Of course, the Mazda2 is a much smaller vehicle than its larger CUV stablemate, so some serious chopping will no doubt be in order when it comes time to engineer the replacement for the company's smallest hatch.

Porsche Macan to debut at LA Auto Show

Auto Express reports Porsche will unveil the upcoming Macan SUV at this year's LA Auto Show. Citing an unnamed "insider," AE says that the five-door will bow with engines, suspension and interior architecture that will help differentiate it from its Audi Q5 chassis mate. Big shocker there. We've been hearing the same line since we first caught word of the Macan back when it was still rolling around under the Cajun name. The report does shed some light on the model's pricing, however.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is about as good as real folks. If Samsung's history (the company released a Galaxy S3 Mini) isn't enough, then surely the countless leaks are. No. How about it being mentioned in the official changelog of a Samsung app. No? OK, fine, how about adding a whole new database entry for the thing on the Samsung Apps portal?

That's exactly what's happened here, as the phone with model number GT-I9195 has popped up. It's no surprise it looks exactly like a Galaxy S4, though proper scale should reveal that it will be a lot smaller.

I'm going to make a strange admission here for a gadgeteer:  I'm not really a power user on my phone or my tablet.  Though I use my devices for all sorts of things, though I love to play with alternate ROMs and want my devices to be fast and responsive, in the end I'm a pretty basic user. I don't  use many social networking apps, and for those that I do use, I'm not worried about constantly getting notifications of updates or messages. My biggest concern is having enough battery power to get me through the day. To achieve this, I run a very lean ROM, deleting any unnecessary services and apps and underclock my processor.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 priced, launches sometime in July

Many folks waiting on the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 have been left in the dark in regards to a date (and even pricing) up to this point. We knew not to expect it sometime this quarter, but without any more details from Samsung we were left to guess for ourselves. Well, we at least now know not to expect this device at any point this month or next month, but Clove has gotten some updated info for those over in the UK. According to them, the device will be shipping at some point this July. Unfortunately that doesn't give us an exact release date to look forward to, but at least we can rest easy knowing the wait from now won't be unbearably long.
