On Saturday, August 17 at 6:00 AM, Speed will go off the air. It's channel will be replaced by a new multi-sport network, called Fox Sports 1. Rumors that a switch were in the works first emerged in late 2012, while things became clearer in March, when the FS1 name emerged. That story disappointed a lot of people. It disappointed us.
