Dead or Alive 5 will not offer additional characters in their DLCs

One of the added benefits of DLCs is that sometimes it gives the player additional content that other players may not have access to normally. This content might be simply cosmetic or it could give gamers a huge advantage. While some believe that when a game is bought and paid for, that should be it, while others don't mind paying the extra for DLCs since they believe it will enhance their gameplay. That being said, if you're looking forward to Team Ninja's Dead or Alive 5 which is scheduled for September, you might want to take note that if and when Team Ninja releases DLC packs for the game, do not expect to find additional characters.
