When Sprint originally pushed Gingerbread to their army of LG Optimus S users, the update broke a lot more than it fixed or improved. All sorts of issues plagued users, including one where the phone would refuse to charge. That's a pretty grave bug and Sprint was forced to pull the update and fix it. It appears that they've ironed all of those issues out, though, as they'll soon be resuming updates via a staggered over-the-air process.
