Nokia PureView wins TIPA's Best Imaging Innovation award

Nokia PureView wins TIPA's Best Imaging Innovation award

Announced back in February at MWC 2012, Nokia's PureView technology is being used only on the Nokia 808 PureView smartphone for the beginning. And although the handset hasn't been released yet, the technology has already won an award: Best Imaging Innovation from TIPA (the Technical Image Press Association). TIPA is praising the 808 PureView's "comparatively huge sensor – both in terms of physical size (1x1.2 inch) and resolution (41 MP)", as well as the "smart pixel oversampling techniques for lossless digital zooming and noise free photos and videos.".
