As expected, today AT&T launched the LG Nitro HD, its first smartphone to feature an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, as well as its third to have LTE connectivity (after the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and the HTC Vivid). Although the normal price on contract for the Nitro HD is $249.99, customers in select markets (probably the ones where LTE services are available - like New York) can get it online here for only $149.99. The Nitro runs Android 2.3Gingerbread, and it will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich next year.
