
Things in the e-book industry are getting more interesting. Microsoft's strategic partnership with Barnes and Noble intensified the excitement with the Redmond giant investing at least $605 million in a new subsidiary called “Newco” which reportedly includes the Nook e-reader. But an even more exciting news awaits for Nook users. In an interview with Fortune, Barnes & Noble CEO William Lynch talked about the future of the company.
Lynch said that part of their plan will be to start embedding NFC (near-field communication) chips into its own e-readers.
