Most iPod docks these days are focused too much on looking pretty and minimalist to focus on the important part, the sound. Well not for US$100 anyway. Enter Yamaha with this no-nonsense mammoth subwoofer of a dock, the PDX-11. This octagonal unit features a 4-inch woofer and a 1 and 3x8-inch tweeter that can be powered by six AA-batteries, allowing for up to eight hours of on-the-go sound.
