If you happen to own an Asus Transformer TF101 tablet, then you will probably be excited to learn that a software update – version 9.2.1.27 – is coming your way. Asus has just rolled out the tad update today, and while the update doesn't exactly bring Jelly Bean to the device, the minute updates does bring a bunch of fixes that owners have been waiting for. The update brings fixes to the Chrome browser and black screen issues. There's also a fix for the reported “Mobile Dock Battery saving mode” bug and the movie playback hang issue.

LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy S III launching in Korea next week

The LTE-packing Samsung Galaxy S III for the Korean market has been officially announced. Unlike its US siblings, this one uses a quad-core Exynos chipset rather than a Qualcomm Snapdragon. As expected, the phone is a bit thicker than the international Galaxy S III - measuring 9mm thick (compared to 8.6mm). It's chock full of wireless connectivity though - GSM, WCDMA, CDMA (for the LG+ carrier only) and LTE, plus NFC, T-DMB television and of course Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

It will run Android 4.0 ICS at launch with the brand new Nature UX in tow.

While we haven't really covered this MMORPG in the past, the premise is actually refreshing, breaking away from the typical full-blown fantasy or sci-fi setting. The Secret World instead is based on a modern-day world where “magic, myths, conspiracies and dark horrors” are a reality. It's now available on the PC for $49.99 USD, and costs $14.99 USD per month to play. “The Secret World is the first MMO set in a real, modern-day world where every conspiracy theory, fable and urban legend is true,” reads the MMORPG's description.

Technology and clothing do not seem to be good bedfellows, don't you think so. Well, electronic music composer Jeff Bryant must have grown up wondering whether learning how to knit would end up being part of his graduate coursework at California Institute of the Arts. However, he was challenged by his interface design instructor to come up with a non-boring MIDI controller device in fall last year, and Bryant discovered that red yarn could be his unlikely ally. Bryant managed to weave conductive thread into the yarn, and decided that he could manipulate the fiber in order to control a musical instrument.
