Facebook gets Same-Sex Marriage icon in Timeline

The much maligned Timeline feature on Facebook has more or less become the norm for many of us, and in the latest twist to it, Facebook has introduced a same-sex marriage icon for those who have tied the knot with their loved one of the same gender, and want to declare their marriage status for the world to see. After all, this same-sex icon would better reflect the relationship instead of the standard issue bride and a groom which apply to straight couples.

Samsung GT-B5330 QWERTY candybar with Android ICS coming soon

Samsung has a new QWERTY candybar that should be introduced soon, with Android 4.0 ICS on board. Called Samsung GT-B5330, the new handset is an entry-level one, featuring an 850MHz processor, and a QVGA portrait display above its full QWERTY keyboard - hence resembling Sprint's M580 Replenish more than the Galaxy M Pro and Galaxy Y Pro (which both have landscape displays). The GT-B5330 has been spotted in China, so that's probably the first market where it will be launched. We don't know when this will happen, though.

Verizon Wireless has finally announced the launch date of its HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE: July 5 (just as rumored last month). The new Droid Incredible will be Verizon's twelfth LTE-capable smartphone, costing $149.99 with a new 2-yr contract agreement (after a $50 mail-in rebate). As you probably already know, the Droid Incredible 4G LTE features a 4 inch Super LCD qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Beats Audio, 8MP rear camera, and MicroSD card support.

Mozilla says a slew of carriers and handset makers set to support Firefox OS

Sure it's not as catchy as "Boot to Gecko," but Mozilla's newly-christened Firefox OS has already gained favor with a number of carriers, including Deutsche Telekom, Smart, Sprint, Telecom Italia, Telefónica and Telenor - as previously reported, Telefonica-owned Vivo is set to introduce the earliest handsets early next year in Brazil. On the manufacturing side of things, ZTE and TCL Communication Technology (Alcatel One Touch) have signed on to make phones based on the HTML5-powered mobile operating system.

Porsche's Leipzig plant celebrates 500,000 units, gets ready for Macan

Porsche has marked an important milestone at its Leipzig plant: The manufacturing facility has officially cranked out its 500,000th vehicle. Matthias Muller, Porsche president and CEO, gave a specially outfitted Cayenne to the city of Leipzig as a token of the company's appreciation for giving the manufacturer a home in the area. Porsche converted the luxury SUV into a fire department vehicle for the city, complete with an appropriate livery and light bar. Porsche began manufacturing the Cayenne in Leipzig in 2002, but has steadily increased production capacity over the past ten years.

We don't have any more details yet on the 10-disc Marvel Cinematic Universe set that popped up on Amazon a month ago, but Disney and Marvel have revealed we can expect Marvel's The Avengers on Blu-ray September 25th. It will be shipping in the usual assortment of combo packs: four disc with Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital copy and digital download or two disc Blu-ray and DVD combo for $50 / $40 MSRP (respectively, Amazon currently lists the four disc set for $35).
