HTC Sensation Line to Get Android 4.0, But Only Sense 3.6

HTC Sensation owners (including all variants) have long know that they’d be getting Android 4.0, but it looks like you won’t be getting the new HTC Sense 4.0 that will be found on HTC One phones. HTC confirmed the unfortunate news to Recombu. They say that the decision to exclude Sense 4.0 on these devices was due to the fact that the new software was designed to take full advantage of the newest hardware advancements inside their “One” devices.

SIM free HTC One S priced in the UK

Last week, we informed you about the SIM-free prices of HTC's new One X and One V Android smartphones for the UK market. Now we have pricing details for the HTC One S, too. Expansys UK is currently listing the HTC One S in two color versions (gradient metal, and ceramic metal), asking £414.99 (about €498 or $655) for it - £85 less than what you have to pay for the quad-core One X.
Unfortunately for interested customers, the British retailer can't say exactly when the One S will become available.

French government to digitize out-of-print 20th century works, plans ebook initiative

It's a case of having one's cake and eating it, too. Or, in this instance, digitizing the works of others and reselling them online for a 40 percent cut. According to Le Temps, a controversial new law recently passed by the French government will see out-of-print books from the 20th century converted into ebook format for preservation and an eventual commercial release. The effort, backed by a 30 million Euro subsidy and curated by the Bibliothèque nationale, encompasses some 500,000 to 700,000 books and has caused a number of the country's writers to raise their baguettes and pens in protest.

Nokia shuts down its Ovi Share service

Nokia has sent out mails to all its Ovi Share users informing them about the sad demise of the service. For those who haven't heard of it before, Ovi Share was Nokia's version of Dropbox, which allowed those with an Ovi account to upload content such as images and videos from their phones onto Nokia's servers. Unfortunately, this service is now shutting down. After March 13, users will no longer will be able to upload files and the last date to download any files that you may have uploaded is May 30.

Gigabyte has announced that they have a couple more Ultrabooks in store for the masses – and the two closely related models would be the U2442N and U2442V Ultrabooks. These two Ultrabooks will carry a similar bold and striking design, where it merges both style and powerful features so that you are able to get much of your computing work done whenever you are away from home or out of the office without missing a beat. The Ultrabooks are rather slim at a mere 18.5mm to 20.5mm thick, and will weigh just 1.49gg at their lightest.
