Lenovo A30 Internet TV Set Top Box is powered by VIA Nano

VIA technologies announced today that it will be providing its VIA Nano processors to power Lenovo's A30 Internet TV Set Top Box that was launched today in Shanghai. The Set top box will feature a 1.2GHz VIA Nano processor and VIA VX900 media system processor which provides full compatibility with mainstream video and audio formats. The new set top box will support picture-in-picture as well as a “one-touch button” to seamlessly switch between TV and Internet services.

Sprint to launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus as its first LTE phone

Although Sprint's didn't actually talk about this, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will become its very first LTE handset. An official Sprint ad seen over at Cnet (check the right side of the page) clearly says so. The ad doesn't say when Sprint will launch the Galaxy Nexus, and if you click on “Learn more” you get an unfriendly 404 on Sprint's website.

Sprint LTE Headed for San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Atlanta by Mid-2012

We're a bit of ways away from seeing 4G LTE from Sprint and any devices to take advantage of but we already have confirmation of the first markets that Sprint will be launching in courtesy of head honcho Dan Hesse. We've got three Texas cities in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio all lined up alongside their southern brother Atlanta, GA. Mid-2012 is the target date that Sprint initially set and they look to be on pace to meet that. By the time they launch we should have at least a few devices ready to take advantage of those fast speeds.

AT&T activates 4G LTE in 11 new markets including New York and San Francisco

. AT&T on Thursday announced that it has activated its 4G LTE network in 11 new markets. The new markets include: the New York City metro area, Austin, Chapel Hill, Los Angeles, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose. AT&T's LTE network has also been active for some time in Athens, Atlanta, Baltimore,Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.

While stereoscopic 3D TVs were attempting to take off in a big way at CES last year, here we are 365 days later, and how many people in your circle of friends do you know who actually own one of these TVs, let alone having amassed a huge collection of 3D Blu-ray discs. The Acer Iconia Tab A200 will become available in the US on January 15. The Iconia Tab A200 is Acer's new 10.1-inch Android tablet that aims to put its affordability front and center. That however doesn't mean it's underpowered or anything like that – just one year ago, this would have been the tablet to drool over. In fact, most of its specs are on par with most of the other Android-powered tablets out there at the moment.
