LightSquared names Marc Montagner Chief Financial Officer

. LightSquared announced on Tuesday that it has named Marc Montagner as Chief Financial Officer. Montagner replaces Michael Montemarano, who left the firm in November. Montagner specializes in mergers and acquisitions, having previously worked for Dupont Circle Partners and Sprint Nextel Corporation. LightSquared is looking to build its network on 1600MHz frequency spectrum and deploy a 4G LTE network that Sprint is planning to use in part to accelerate its own LTE roll-out.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 coming to Three UK

Three is the latest UK mobile network to confirm that it's going to sell the BlackBerry Bold 9790 (after O2, Vodafone and Orange). The 9790 has appeared over at Three's coming soon webpage (next to Nokia's Lumia 710), and should become available sometime later this month.

AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 (Ace) specs leaked ahead of CES unveiling

Nokia is getting ready to make a big Windows Phone-powered splash in the US, it seems. Right before 2011 ended, we showed you some leaked renders of the Finnish company's upcoming WP flagship smartphone, the Lumia 900. This has also been known so far as the Nokia Ace, and it's expected to be unveiled (at least a version headed to AT&T with LTE support) next week at CES. But if you were anxious to hear something about the Lumia 900′s specs, you don't have to wait until then. Most of the important stuff has been leaked today courtesy of PocketNow.

So, as previous rumors hinted, the Lumia 900 will have 4.3-inch touchscreen.

Transcend StoreJet Cloud arrives at the FCC

The folks over at the FCC have recently gotten their hands on the Transcend StoreJet Cloud, which in essence is a wireless storage device. Having first made an appearance earlier last December, it finally arrived at the doorsteps of the FCC to gain a collective stamp of approval before it hits the mass market. Basically, the Transcend StoreJet Cloud will function as a wireless hard drive which will hook up to iOS-powered devices with the help of a free app. You are then able to proceed with streaming media straight from the device.

If you're a fan of the BlackBerry Porsche P'9981 phone or you've got some money to blow and you don't know what phone to spend it on we've got some good news for you. The specially designed BlackBerry phone, the Porsche P'9981 is now available for pre-orders. All you have to do is head down to your local Porsche Design store in the US to place your order. The phone will set you back a hefty $1,700 - which is more than what most people are willing to pay for a smartphone so I'm guessing it's not going to sell like hot cakes.

Morgan celebrates 75 years of the 4x4 with special anniversary edition

They don't make 'em like they used to. Morgan would beg to differ. Because while 75 years may be a milestone many automakers would be glad to celebrate, this 75th anniversary doesn't commemorate a company's founding. Nor does it mark the years since a specific factory was inaugurated, the birth of the company's founder or anything like that. This milestone is marked by one specific model.

That's right, the Morgan 4x4 has been on the market – largely in the same form in which it debuted – for a whopping 75 years.

The Koala Mount – a Damage-Free Way to Mount Your iPad to the Wall

There are a lot of wall mounts available for iPads and other tablets, but attaching them usually involves adding screw holes or other damage to the wall.  The Koala Mount from Dockem uses 3M Command Strips to attach the mount, and they can be removed easily, without damage to the wall.  This Kickstarter project consists of a couple of plastic mounting corners that are designed to hold the iPad at a slight slant away from the wall – just enough room to be able to insert or remove the iPad with one hand.  The Koala Mount works with both versions of the iPad, and there's even enough room for a back cover and the Smart Cover for the iPad
