A scoop over at TechCrunch claims that a next-gen Motorola Xoom is about to be availabile in time for the holidays, particularly in Ireland. And by next-generation, we do not mean a modified family version of the tablet. The word about the so-called Xoom 2 has been around for weeks and its supposed launch during Motorola's Droid RAZR launch event never happened. Nevertheless, the rumor about the tablet's holiday launch is fortified with a buyer's guide from European retail website Carphone Warehouse, which also revealed spinkles of specs about the elusive gadget.

Lenovo posts Q2 earnings, sees increase in profits, shipments and market share

The quarterly earnings stats just keep rolling in today - this time, from Lenovo, which has just posted yet another stellar report. According to the company, profits for the second quarter of this year reached $145 million, marking an 89 percent increase over the same period last year. Consolidated sales, meanwhile, rose by 35.8 percent to a record $7.8 billion, giving Lenovo a worldwide quarterly market share of 13.5 percent, also its highest ever. Laptops, not surprisingly, were at the forefront of this surge, accounting for 57.5 percent of the company's total revenue, with PC shipments rising 35.4 percent over the year.

According to The Times of India, Motorola is preparing to release their newest Android smartphone ‘RAZR' in India sometime next week. The handset is said to retail for 32,000 INR (about $646). Chevrolet Carlisle Blue Grand Sport Concept celebrates Pennsylvania pride

Every year, masses of Corvette aficionados descend upon a little town in Pennsylvania to celebrate their love of the long-running Chevrolet sports car. Here in Las Vegas at the 2011 SEMA Show, General Motors has decided to show its appreciation for the legions of Carlisle travelers with the Carlisle Blue Grand Sport Concept. We don't know if Chevy plans to offer this color scheme on production Corvettes, but we hope it does. The exterior is painted in a hue called Carlisle Blue, and it's punctuated by Pearl White racing stripes and silver-painted Torque 2 wheels. We also like the Cyber Gray headlamps that are optional for 2012.
