Samsung Roboray Builds Real Time 3D Visual Maps

Samsung Roboray Builds Real Time 3D Visual Maps

Now here we are with a rather interesting robot – the Samsung Roboray, where it boasts of computer vision algorithms which allow it to construct real-time 3D visual maps so that it is capable of moving up and around in a far more efficient manner than ever before. The Roboray's computer vision algorithms were developed by researchers from the University of Bristol, where it relies on its integrated cameras to build a map reference which is relative to its surroundings, hence enabling it to "remember" just where it has been before.
