Microsoft has yet to officially launch their Windows Phone platform in China, but according to a Nokia spokesperson on Friday, Nokia has plans to launch their Windows Phone based smartphones in China in the first half of 2012, which will apparently make them one of the first, if not the first company to officially bring the Windows Phone platform into China. Without doubt China is one of the largest markets today, and a successful Windows Phone launch could help the Finnish company boost its sales and market share in China against Google's Android and Apple's iOS platform.
