In addition to creating mobile apps for smartphones to access Facebook Chat/Messages, it looks like the social network is targeting the desktop pc/laptop market as well. It has been reported that Facebook has been testing a Windows-based Facebook Messenger client that lets people chat with their friends on their computers without having to open up Facebook in a web browser. While a lot of 3rd party apps have been doing this for some time now, most of them are universal chat clients i.e. Digsby, Trillian, or IM clients that have Facebook support i.e.
