HTC has been in the smartphone business for quite some time now but did you know it used to manufacture devices for other companies before coming up with its own line of phones. Well, the folks over at HTC have released a short video clip detailing the history of the company and its devices since its inception in 1997. From the milestones achieved throughout the years, you can say that HTC has been pretty good at what it does - the company introduced the world's first 3G Windows Mobile phone, the world's first Android phone and the first 4G Android phone. Prosthesis used to be in place just to help folks with missing limbs look better without having any form of functionality, but over the years, technology has improved prosthesis to a point where they're actually far more useful than being an appendage to help one ‘blend in' with the rest of humanity. Nice to know that humans such as Japanese industrial designer and Keio University professor Shunji Yamanaka decided to come up with a concept leg prosthesis that he has dubbed the "Skeletal Structure of Design".

Microsoft Kinect-enabled TVs could go head-to-head with Apple's rumored HDTV

. Microsoft's Kinect motion and voice control system, currently available for the Xbox 360 and soon for Windows PCs, may soon be built into televisions. Microsoft is working on deals to license Kinect to TV makers Sony and Vizio, The Daily reported, noting that such technology could allow couch surfers to control their TVs with motion and voice. Currently, Xbox 360 Kinect owners are able to browse their Netflix queues and more by making gestures with their arms or using a number of voice commands.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 now up for pre-order with Orange UK contracts, free from £20.50 per month

The BlackBerry Curve 9380 was announced recently as a more budget-friendly alternative to the Torch 9860 which was launched earlier this year. Naturally, to achieve its more affordable price, the Curve 9380 has some lower-end specs compared to its big brother, but it's still an interesting device nonetheless, being the cheapest full touch BlackBerry. The Curve 9380 is going to be sold by O2 UK at some point, but before that happens, as you may already know, pre-orders for the SIM-free smartphone have started with a projected shipping date of November 28.

Lenovo may be working on a Dual-Core 5″ tablet

Various reports are indicating that Lenovo is currently working on a 5-inch dual-core IdeaPad/LePad tablet to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Dell Streak 5. Very little is known about the tablet at this point save for photographs revealing a micro-USB port, HDMI output and a front-facing camera.
