Milestone Japan has just launched a new gaming notebook from MSI. Called the GS70 Stealth, the system is packed with a 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, a 2.40GHz Intel Core i7-4700HQ processor, an Intel HM87 Express Chipset, a GeForce GTX 765M 2GB graphics card, a 16GB DDR3 RAM, a 256GB SSD, a 750GB hard drive, an HD webcam, a card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 6-cell battery and runs on Windows 8 64-bit OS. The GS70 Stealth is priced at 199,800 Yen (about $2,001).

Forgive the Spaceballs reference, but I thought of Dark Helmet when I saw this umbrella from Brando.  The Helmet Umbrella is 37″ long, 28.4″ in diameter, and weighs 14 ounces.  It's big enough to keep your shoulders and even a backpack or gear bag dry.  It comes with a carrying sheath and seems to be available only in camouflage for $29.00.

The G-GEAR N1580J-700/E sells for 149,980 Yen (about $1,527).

Samsung Galaxy Gear live photos leak prior to IFA

A prototype Samsung Galaxy Gear unit found itself in the hands of our colleagues from Venturebeat who got to spend some time with the smartwatch and spilled some beans about it along the way. So, here it is. What you see above is a snapshot of a Galaxy Gear promo video, as the media wasn't allowed to take photos of the actual prototype it had. Anyway, the display of the Galaxy Gear is 3" in size and is of the OLED variety. The screen is square, but sadly its resolution wasn't disclosed.

The prototype Galaxy Gear itself is colored in dark gray and black and sports built-in speakers in the strap.
