Verizon Motorola Droid Razr coming in white soon?

Launched a few weeks ago as one of Verizon's best smartphones of the year, the Motorola Droid Razr might get a new color version soon. According to the screenshot seen below (which reportedly comes from Verizon's device management system), a white Droid Razr should be released sometime soon. Most likely, the white Razr will cost as much as the black version ($299 on contract).

To increase the volume, you only need to pull the speaker higher, and to decrease the volume, just do the opposite.

Worst Password List Revealed

Mashable has published a list of worst passwords. The list, which were provided by productivity app developer SplashData, consists of keywords and combination of numbers that are commonly utilized by Internet users. The worst password list includes the obvious ones like: password, 123456, 12345678, and abc123. Other passwords consist of commonly-used words for passwords such as trustno1, letmein, iloveyou, baseball, and football.

Researchers put smartphones on a power diet, drastically improve battery life

Nokia's Asha handsets already use browser compression to reduce data costs and power consumption for customers in the developing world, but the company's Finnish neighbours over at Aalto University have taken a totally different approach. By using a network proxy to squash traffic into bursts rather than a constant bit rate, and by forcing a smartphone's modem into idle mode between each burst, the researchers claim they can cut 3G power consumption by 74 percent.
